Eric Anderson
Chief Executive Officer
He has served as the CEO or President of multiple large Optical Practice groups in both North and South America including a 1000-practice group in U.S./Canada and a 500-practice chain in Chile, Columbia, Ecuador and Peru. Under his collaborative leadership, Eric transformed their business strategies, patient experiences and management team philosophies resulting in significant growth in associate engagement, patient satisfaction and results.
Immediately prior to joining AEG Vision, Eric served as Executive Vice President – Fossil Group, leading their $3 Billion Global Licensed Watch and Jewelry business. In this capacity, he was accountable for all business development, licensing, marketing, product development, manufacturing and sales.
Eric is highly respected within the Optical industry and well-known for delivering outstanding results via a focus developing top talent and better patient outcomes.
Johnny Bond
Chief Operating Officer
Johnny brings over 30 years of multi-site healthcare experience spanning a broad range of cross-functional leadership roles including operations, acquisitions and development, patient experience, clinical quality, service lines strategy, investor relations, administration, finance and treasury.
Most recently, Johnny consulted with the Private Equity firm of Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe, advising them in their healthcare portfolio. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years at United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) driving growth from start-up to their industry leadership position as the largest operator of outpatient centers and surgically-oriented hospitals.
Prior to USPI, Johnny held Senior Vice-President positions for over a decade in two other start-up companies: Physicians Resource Group, Inc. and Medical Care America, Inc. Upon the sale of Medical Care, he transitioned as the SVP of Operations, Ambulatory Surgery Division, and was responsible for the operations of 25 surgical facilities. Johnny is best known and respected within the industry as a motivating leader who consistently delivers results through operational excellence.
Brett Burford
Chief Financial Officer
Brett Burford brings over three decades of strategic financial leadership across various industries, specializing in consumer products, retail, and healthcare. As a strategic and analytically oriented CFO, Brett has a proven history of building strong teams and implementing initiatives that drive business growth and efficiency. With experience in both public and private equity ownership structures, Brett has held senior financial roles in global corporations and middle-market companies alike.
Prior to joining AEG Vision, Brett’s served as Chief Financial Officer at Eyemart Express, where he played a pivotal role in building out the company’s financial systems and structures, to support aggressive growth goals after a change in ownership. He spearheaded the establishment of key functions like Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Intelligence, helping support significant expansion and enhancing the company’s capabilities. Prior to his role at Eyemart Express, Brett had served as Chief Financial Officer of two publicly traded companies where his expertise in building teams and improving financial management proved instrumental in guiding both companies through transformative periods.
Before moving into CFO roles, Brett spent 11 years at Dr Pepper Snapple Group, where he led Strategic Planning and FP&A activities for its largest business units. During his time at Dr Pepper, Brett spent a year working in the UK with Dr Pepper’s parent company, Cadbury Schweppes, helping develop business strategies in key markets across Europe.
With a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Liberal Arts, and a BS in Finance, Brett’s educational background complements his extensive professional experience, making him a seasoned leader in the realm of fiscal management and strategic planning.
Joseph Terzo
Chief Development & Strategy Officer
Joe brings over a decade of diverse financial services experience across multiple sectors and companies. He earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business and holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Most recently, Joe was a Principal at MHT Partners, a national middle-market investment bank focused on serving high growth companies. In this role, he developed and executed on various companies’ buy and build growth strategies.
Joe’s primary sector experience resides in both business and healthcare services, with a focus on human capital-intensive businesses. Prior to that, Joe spent several years at Credit Suisse where he and his team managed over $2 billion of assets for both high-net-worth individuals and institutions. While at Credit Suisse, Joe and team were repeatedly recognized by Barrons as one of the country’s leading financial advisors.
Prior to Credit Suisse, he served in the corporate finance function of Baxter International, an acute healthcare products company with over $10 billion in annual revenue. Joe is highly regarded within the industry for his collaborative ability to drive organizational alignment in support of key growth initiatives.
Dr. Benjamin Chudner, FAAO
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Chudner began his impressive optometric career more than 21 years ago. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry and completed a residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
After working for a large OD/MD practice in the Pacific Northwest, he acquired an independent Optometry practice in Bremerton, Washington where he built a successful practice and team before eventually selling the practice 10 years later.
Since that time, he has spent over a decade in leadership roles in some of the most recognized organizations in the eyecare industry. Companies such as Bausch and Lomb and Luxottica have benefited from Dr Chudner’s extensive understanding of the complexities of the optical industry. Under his leadership as Senior Clinical Director, he streamlined eyecare operations and improved relationships with doctors affiliated with Luxottica resulting in tremendous eye exam growth year over year.
Dr. Chudner is also an accomplished lecturer and trainer and an active member of several industry organizations including the AOA, AAO, and the New York State Optometric Association. Dr. Chudner is most recognized for his deep passion for full-scope optometry and building organizations that can deliver better outcomes for all patients and fellow optometrists.
Satish Dave
Chief Information Officer
Satish brings with him highly impressive and diverse experience across several relevant industries. He has held key senior technology and operations leadership roles at Vision Source, MedSolutions, Coventry Healthcare, and General Electric and has focused on driving total enterprise performance through the successful deployment and utilization of technology solutions.
While leading Information Technology at MedSolutions, Satish helped grow the company’s top line sales from $240 million to $910 million while also delivering $40 million in annualized operational cost reductions.
Prior to joining AEG Vision, Satish was the Chief Information Officer for Vision Source and led efforts to create business value through the innovative application of technology. This initiative resulted in the doubling of the company’s market cap realization. Satish is best known within the industry for his expertise and intuitive understanding of successfully integrating technology solutions within a practice as well as throughout an organization.
Meera Dua
Chief Merchandising Officer
Meera began her impressive career in the optical world over 20 years ago, which spans both North American and international market experience.
She started at Cole Vision Corporation and spent several years taking on various leadership roles with increasing levels of importance and responsibility.
This ultimately resulted in her championing and directing all product strategy and merchandising for a wide range of organizations.
Meera’s significant contributions have driven success for multiple businesses in profitability growth, improved product life cycle management and stronger store segmentation. Meera is highly respected within the industry and is well known for her motivating leadership style and tremendous depth of merchandising knowledge and expertise.
Brad Penny
Vice President, Integrations
Brad brings almost 20 years of experience in strategic business analysis, operations and project management in multiple industries. Brad has optimized system and project management at Electronic Data Systems, and DaVita Kidney Care.
In his role at AEG Vision, Brad has driven significant improvements in the AEG Integration process. Additionally, as Vice President of Integrations, Brad provides additional leadership and support in other areas including real estate negotiations and the optimization of product pricing.
Shawn Deckert
Executive Vice President, Practice Operations
Shawn began his successful optical career more than 25 years ago. His broad range of eyecare experience spans independent optical companies as well as some of the biggest organizations in the industry today. Multiple groups have benefited from Shawn’s tremendous industry knowledge and deep understanding of the ever-changing optical world.
He is truly a multi-faceted leader driven by his range of roles across the retail, professional services, wholesale, luxury and value side of the industry.
Shawn is also passionate about giving back to those in need and has led or been part of many North American and international eyecare clinics. Shawn is best known for his ability to align a team to create a sustained growth plan that’s customer-centric and builds top talent.
Matt Herod
Vice President, Product Supply Chain
Matt brings more than 12 years of relevant experience to the role in Lens Technology, Lens & Lab Systems, Vendor Management, Frame DC and Practice Operations within the Essilor organization in Dallas and Arizona.
His prior experiences include: Regional Operations Director – where he supervised 10 large Essilor optical labs with $200m annual revenue, Operations Manager CFDC – where he managed a “Central Frame DC”, and GM Southwest Lens – where he had full P&L responsibility for a wholesale lab supporting chains like AEG Vision.
Matt is a graduate of Fontbonne University and resides in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
